Custom Social Media Testing Tool

Objective
We supported the brand Happy Jacky in developing and executing an effective A/B testing strategy for their social media marketing. The goal was to identify the most effective ad creatives and target audiences.
Through an intelligent A/B setup, we gathered meaningful comparison data to generate clear and actionable recommendations.
The core objective of the project was to reduce customer acquisition costs by identifying the best-performing ad formats and audience segments.
Our work was primarily based on the Meta API and the Shopify eCommerce platform.

“Our animals are superheroes!” — that’s the core belief of Happy Jacky. The company is deeply committed to animal welfare, believing that better living conditions lead to better meat quality.
Happy Jacky works exclusively with certified farms that produce meat in 100% food-grade quality. Instead of going to the butcher, the fresh meat goes directly into the Happy Jacky cans.
Testing Environment
Happy Jacky set out to identify the best-performing ad creatives and target audiences for their social media campaigns.
To do this, various ad formats were developed and tested in structured A/B testing cycles — with insights from each round feeding directly into the next.
The creatives ranged from comic-style graphics and "superhero" themed visuals to realistic animal photography, as well as seasonal ads and discount promotions.
All results were carefully analyzed, and back-testing was used to verify outcomes. While the main goal was to reduce customer acquisition costs (CAC), metrics such as click-through rate (CTR) were also closely monitored to measure ad effectiveness.
Results – Brand Strength & Target Audiences
The key takeaway from the tests was the importance of a strong match between ad creative and audience.
That said, one result stood out across all target groups: the comic-style superhero ads consistently outperformed the others.
This finding highlighted not only the power of good targeting, but also the unique brand identity and appeal of Happy Jacky.
Back-Testing
Back-testing in A/B testing is a crucial method for validating the long-term effectiveness of changes by revisiting them at a later point in time. This helps ensure that any observed improvements are sustainable and statistically reliable, rather than just temporary fluctuations.
By applying this approach, we were able to determine whether the results held up over time, providing a solid foundation for decision-making and ensuring a long-term, results-driven strategy.
